Philippines: World Book and Copyright Day

In cooperation with The National Book Development Board, the Quezon City Government, IPO Philippines, FILCOLS, FILSCAP, and Vibal Publishing, they organized a free special event to celebrate it with the general public. This coming April 22, 2012, we are to join to celebrate the 2012 World Book and Copyright Day that will be held at the Planas Garden, Quezon Memorial Circle, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

World Book and Copyright Day is an event which emphasizes the importance of books and copyright; that piracy, in any form, is punishable by the law. It advocates, preserves, and pursue originality and creativity in the publishing world. Let’s fight against piracy!

In a form of a unique “school fair,” the event has lined up booths, special shows, storytellings, poetry reading, prizes and giveaways, and talks. There will also be segment by WANLU, the famous ventriloquist. Photo booths with a “pirate” and other crime lords that is provided by FILCOLS.
