I’m not really into Santa Claus even when I was a kid. I never believed that he existed because the fact that my parents are God-fearing people, they taught us what we are celebrating Christmas for — Jesus. Anyway, it’s Christmas Eve! And I’ve decided to read something Christmas-y this day and yes, I got this 1986 edition of The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by my favorite childhood literature writer — Frank M. Baum. Well, Baum never failed my expectations when it comes to ‘adventures’ because he is good at it. I loved the book, with its complete narration of how Claus came to the Forest of Burzee and taken care of the nymphs, fairies and knooks and then went to discover the life on earth /humanity while living in Laughing Village of Hohaho, his first toy made out of a piece of wood and lastly, how he gave these toys and make children happy! After reading it, I appreciated more how kind and generous this fellow is and he really is a folktale hero! I wished I read this when I was young and yes, I’ll be reading this book to my future children.

Merry Christmas to all of you guys! Don’t forget who we are celebrating for — Jesus. God bless you all!
