If you need heroes, send in the Basterds!

Inglorious Basterds

A 2009 movie directed by the hardcore Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2,Pulp Fiction).

Everybody knows Hitler and the Nazi Germans, right? This story revolves about the two plots to assassinate the Nazi Germany’s political leadership in France during World War II. One is headed by French Jewish movie house proprietor, Shosanna Dreyfus (who escaped from the hand of the Jewish hunter SS Colonel Hans Landa) and the other by a team of Jewish Allied soldiers (they call themselves the ‘Basterds’) led by Lieutenant Aldo Raine, played by Brad Pitt.

One of the best movies I’ve watched, really. It thrilled me and scared me to the bone (because I expect the Basterd will be caught by the Nazis)! The Basterds are just… hardcore, especially Sgt. Hugo Stiglitz and Sgt. Donny Donowitz (The ‘Bear Jew’), they are fucking merciless in killing the Nazi Soldiers! Man, I was like bending in pain when Donowitz hitted a Nazi soldier in the head with a baseball bat and how Stiglitz fired Major Dieter Hellstrom in the genitals or how he killed some Nazi officials one by one.

The war ended when Shosanna set the moviehouse on fire while the Nazi officials, including Hitler himself are inside.

I am enthralled with Brad Pitt’s accent. The word fuck is always included in his lines and it’s now ringing in my head since.

Highly recommended movie. I want to watch it… again.
